The Lab is fully equipped for investigation of optical CW and pulsed phenomena in the near-IR domain (around 800 nm and 1.3 um), both in the temporal and spectral domain.

The most relevant instrumentation:
  • 6.5 and 26.5 GHz electronic spectrum analyzers;
  • DC to 30 GHz synthetized, sinusoidal signal source;
  • 40 ps pulse generators;
  • fast digital scopes, up to 4 GHz bandwidth, 20 Gsamples/sec and 32 million samples;
  • sampling scope; currently with 2 independent, 20 GHz bandwidth channels;
  • avalanche photodetectors, up to 35 GHz bandwidth;
  • 7,000 GHz Newport Supercavity (finesse>10,000);
  • 0.05 nm optical spectrum analyzer (monochomator);
  • laser beam analyzer (1300x1000 pixels, 10 bit digital camera).
